Acts 9: 36:43
³⁶Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did. ³⁷And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber.³⁸And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them.³⁹Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them.⁰But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. Revelation 7: 9-17
⁹After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;¹⁰And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.¹¹And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,¹²Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever.    ¹³And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?¹⁴And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Members of the Reformed Church in America and Christian Reformed Church in North America are participating in a Christian Peacemaker Team delegation to Palestine and Israel in April. This is a recent update from them.

There Is No Law

Six Israeli soldiers carrying automatic weapons move slowly down the narrow streets of the old city of Hebron. We follow. We are members of a Christian Peacemaker Team (CPT) delegation visiting Israel and the Occupied Territories. Our purpose is to be a visible and non-violent presence in a situation of conflict. On this particular afternoon we encounter the soldiers on one of our regular walks through the city. One of the soldiers turns toward us. "You must keep back at least 10 meters."

"Last week we were told 3 meters," one of the CPT members replies. "Which is it? We will comply, but what is the law?"
"There is no law," says the soldier.
We continue to follow them through the narrow streets. The soldiers come to a home and enter through a doorway. They do not bother to knock. They do not ask for permission. They are not invited in. They simply enter. "There is no law."
They go up the stairs and through the living area and pass three young boys. Later we learn that some weeks earlier the boys had been taken by Israeli soldiers and detained for several hours. Why? Perhaps they had thrown stones. Or been in the wrong place at the wrong time. Or had been insolent. They had no lawyer. No charges were filed. Yet they were among the more fortunate. After a few hours they were released. Some children have been imprisoned for months. "There is no law."
Earlier in the week we had visited an Israeli settlement. "Rachel" graciously welcomed us into her home and shared her story with us. She had grown up in a nominally Christian family in the U.S., converted to Judaism as a young adult, and emigrated to Israel. Like many who emigrate to Israel to live in a settlement, she benefited from government policies that facilitated her path to Israeli citizenship, subsidized her housing, and helped to locate her and her family in an upscale community in the West Bank. This is the law.
But she has also suffered greatly. Her sixteen-year-old son, a student at a Jerusalem Yeshiva, was shot and killed by a Palestinian extremist. There is no law that will bring him back.
We were also hosted by a Palestinian family. Their home is in a refugee camp in Bethlehem. 13,000 people, over half of them children, are crowded into half a square kilometer. All of them are former residents or descendants of former residents of small Palestinian villages near Jerusalem just a few kilometers away. In 1947 they were forcibly removed from their homes. Some of those who resisted were killed. The villages were destroyed. The site of the former villages has been converted into "green space," American Independence Park and Menachem Begin Park. The Palestinians have never been compensated for their loss. They are not allowed to return. They are not even permitted to enter Jerusalem. This is the law.
We are praying for a different world; a world where laws do not persecute some and benefit others. A world where laws bring people together rather than drive them apart. A world of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, and self–control. Against these things there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23)

Greetings, Here is an exerpt of an article I retrieved off AOL. Good advise of what not to post on twitter or facebook.
The most dangerous thing you can post to your Facebook page or Twitter account is information about where you're going when you are not at home.

By telling the world you are on vacation in the Bahamas, or even just eating at your favorite local restaurant, you're letting potential thieves know that you're not at home.

Financial writers Ken and Daria Dolan warn that how you use Facebook and Twitter can be hazardous to your wealth!

"Burglars are fond of your constant updates," the Dolans told AOL. "Would you stand up in the middle of a crowd of strangers and announce that you're leaving on vacation for three days and then tell everyone your address? Of course not, but that's exactly what you are doing if you share such information online."

They cite the case of an Arizona man who told his 2,000 Twitter followers that he was leaving town. When he returned, he found his home had been burglarized and video equipment, worth thousands of dollars, had been stolen. "Even saying you are running to the mall, going out to dinner...is too much information," the Dolans explained to AOL.

One Web site recently found itself in the news for bringing attention to the problem. The site pleaserobme.com was designed to show how easy it is for anyone to sift through Twitter updates for a "feed" of people's current locations. The recent buzz caused confusion, because of course the site was not intended to give criminals the keys to your home. But it did achieve its goal of bringing much-needed attention to the potential danger.

Some insurance companies are catching on. Legal & General Insurance in New England says Facebook and Twitter users could be hit with higher homeowner's insurance premiums. Why? All that blabbing about activities away from home means they face a higher risk of burglary.

The company thinks burglars are actually "shopping" for victims on social media sites, looking not only for an indication you're not at home, but also photos of your home and valuables. That cute picture of your son hugging the dog? A burglar is looking in the background, eyeing your big-screen TV and new stereo system.

And it's not just adults. Teenagers are even more likely to post personal information, so Legal & General has warned that parents who aren't even online themselves could face higher homeowner's insurance premiums if their children are online.

MRC Youth Group donated a portion of its 24 hour fast fundraiser

to Calico Cat of Middletown, New Jersey. Calico Cat is located on

96 Kings Highway in Middletown and is dedicated to helping supply

food and supplies to the needy in our area. Pictured above is the

presentation given at our Pork Loin Dinner this past March.
